NDA Releases 78RC Admission List, Sets September 14 Deadline for Successful Candidates

The wait is over for candidates who took part in the Nigerian Defence Academy’s 78 Regular Course selection process, as the institution has released the names of successful and reserve candidates admitted into the 78 Regular Combatant Course.

The admission list followed the Armed Forces Selection Board exercise conducted between July 4 and August 19, 2026, for candidates seeking admission into the Academy.

According to the Nigerian Defence Academy, successful candidates are expected to report to the NDA Ribadu Campus, Old Site, Kaduna, on Saturday, September 12, 2026.

The Academy warned that any candidate who fails to report by Monday, September 14, 2026, will forfeit his or her admission.

Candidates offered admission are expected to report at the Drill Shed of the NDA Old Site, Ribadu Cantonment, Kaduna, where they will be received for the commencement of the required processes.

The Academy clarified that only candidates who were offered admission are expected to report. Those on the reserve list are not required to report at this stage and may be contacted if vacancies arise.

According to the admission notice signed by the Academy Registrar, Brigadier General OA Ogunleye, reserve candidates will be contacted through the email addresses and telephone numbers they provided during registration if their services become necessary.

Successful candidates have also been directed to come with the original copies of their required credentials. These include their First School Leaving Certificate, Primary School Testimonial, WAEC or NECO results, Senior Secondary School Testimonial, Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age and Letter of State of Origin.

They must also present the original, duly endorsed Parent or Guardian Consent Form, as the Academy warned that photocopies of the required documents would not be accepted.

In addition to their academic and identification documents, candidates are required to come with specified personal items, clothing, footwear, sportswear and bedding listed by the Academy.

The requirements include black and white trousers, a dark-coloured lounge suit, national dress, appropriate cover shoes, sportswear, shirts, socks, bed sheets and other essential items. Female candidates have additional clothing requirements specified by the Academy.

The NDA further instructed all successful candidates to upload their O’Level results to the JAMB portal before reporting.

Candidates who were not offered admission into their preferred academic department are also required to log into the JAMB portal to make the necessary change of course or department.

Another important requirement is that all selected candidates must accept their admission through the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) before reporting to the Academy.

The Academy also warned that newly admitted candidates will not be permitted to receive visitors or leave the institution during the first three months of their training.

The release of the 78RC admission list marks the latest stage in the NDA’s admission process for the 2026/2027 academic session, following the screening and Armed Forces Selection Board exercises.

Candidates are therefore advised to check the official NDA admission list carefully, complete all required documentation and comply strictly with the reporting deadline to avoid losing their admission opportunity.
