The National Youth Service Corps has announced the dates and designated centres for the physical verification of credentials and travel documents of foreign-trained Nigerian graduates preparing for the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream I service year.

The exercise is scheduled to take place from Monday, September 8, to Saturday, September 12, 2026, across nine designated centres in the country.

The verification is specifically for foreign-trained Nigerian prospective corps members whose credentials and travel documents are yet to undergo physical verification.

The NYSC requires foreign-trained graduates to present their original academic credentials and relevant travel documents for inspection as part of the mobilisation process. The scheme has consistently warned that scanned copies, online printouts and photocopies of credentials are not accepted for physical verification.

The exercise is an important stage in the mobilisation of foreign-trained graduates for national service, as the NYSC uses the process to authenticate the documents submitted during online registration.

Prospective corps members are expected to attend the exercise at the centres selected during their registration. The verification process is aimed at ensuring that only graduates with genuine and acceptable qualifications proceed through the mobilisation process.

The NYSC has also advised foreign-trained graduates to keep their relevant credentials and travel documents available throughout the verification and mobilisation stages.
