2027: Uba Sani Mobilises North-West Voters for Tinubu’s Re-Election

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has urged voters across the North-West to support President Bola Tinubu’s bid for a second term in 2027, saying the region should reciprocate what he described as the benefits it has received from the Federal Government.

Sani made the appeal on Saturday in Kaduna during the inauguration of coordinators and members of the “Relax, Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria” support group established to mobilise support for the President across the seven North-West states.

Speaking through his Special Adviser on Politics, Abubakar Mamadi, the governor said the North, particularly the North-West, had benefited significantly from the Tinubu administration, citing agriculture, education, youth empowerment and women’s development among the areas where he said the government had made notable interventions.

He charged the newly inaugurated coordinators to take information about the Federal Government’s policies, programmes and interventions to communities at the grassroots and ensure that residents, particularly those in rural areas, were adequately informed ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The mobilisation covers Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Jigawa, Sokoto and Zamfara states, with the governor urging the group to extend its activities beyond major cities and reach communities across the region.

The convener of the support group, Mike Auta, also called on members to intensify grassroots mobilisation, urging them to move into towns and remote communities and work towards securing victory for Tinubu in 2027.

The group’s women leader, Karima Abdullai, said women across the North-West had benefited from cash assistance and empowerment programmes under the Tinubu administration. She therefore appealed to women in the seven states to support the President’s re-election, expressing confidence that more women would benefit from federal programmes if Tinubu secures a second term.

Also speaking at the event, Farida Bala, Director of Town Hall Engagement and Special Duties, appealed to Nigerians to remain patient with the administration. She described the government’s reforms as part of a difficult process of rebuilding and restructuring the country, arguing that patience was necessary for the expected long-term gains.

The Kaduna inauguration marks the beginning of a wider political mobilisation campaign planned across the North-West, with organisers expected to hold town hall meetings, community engagements and voter sensitisation activities in the coming months.

The development comes as political activities surrounding the 2027 presidential election intensify, with supporters of the Tinubu administration increasingly taking their campaign for a second term to different regions and grassroots communities.
